As of April 2018 there is a program from NB Power that will help pay for putting solar on your home!? New homes and existing homes alike. Even off-grid homes are eligible! Under the Total Home Energy Savings Program, NB Power is paying between $200-$300 per kilowatt of installed solar. If your home has R20 basement and main walls and R40 ceiling, you don't have to do anything to be eligible for $200/kw! You can do upgrades and get to the $300/kw incentive.

 

This is great news for solar in NB and a great step by NB Power / Énergie NB .The existing home is available now and the new home program details will be released in May where we are told even greater incentives are possible for Net Zero homes incorporating solar!
